September’s 30 Days of Lists is just around the corner and I’m so excited to get started! I absolutely love this way of sneaking a little bit of creativity into my day and I cherish my 15 (!!!) finished sets of lists.
I love that the lists give me a picture of who I am at the time: the way I answer a question today is not the way I would have answered a few years ago. And because the lists are typically so different from the subject matter I usually put in my scrapbooks–sometimes silly, sometimes introspective–I really value the perspective they add to my memory keeping library.
Here are the supplies I’m using to list for this round:
- I Love It All 30 Days of Lists Traveler’s Notebook
- The Awesome Ladies #30Lists Stamp Set
- Ali Edwards ink set
- Technique Tuesday Ali Edwards stamp (retired)
- Tsukineko Memento Lilac Posies Ink
This time I’m going with a traveler’s notebook, which was part of the goodies bag given to participants of Awesome Ladies Live for the 30 Days of Lists sponsored breakfast! I might add it to the same folio as my March TN.
Remember: there’s no wrong way to list! You can make this a gorgeous art journaling project, fill out pocket scrapbooking cards, or do something as simple as jot down answers in Notes on your phone and take a screenshot.
To make my base, I first stamped a circle on each page, stamping near the top on the left pages and near the bottom on the right. Since I had four colors, I tried to randomize which ones I was using, so the same colors wouldn’t always be together on a spread.
Then I went through and added numbers in black ink.
I haven’t decided how I’m adding the list titles yet–maybe typing them on a tag or label with a typewriter? And I really like the small photos in my September 2015 album and will be trying something similar this time around. After just simply writing out lists last round (after my initial stamping bonanza), I’m looking forward to getting a little craftier this time.
