Today Nerd Nest Creative Team member Emily is here to share her take on February’s Nerd Nest Challenge Use Non-Scrapbooking Products.

Embroidered Patch Card with Emily | Nerd Nest Challenge

This month’s challenge is to use a not-expressly-used for scrapbooking product. As soon as I found out what the challenge was, I immediately knew that I wanted to use an embroidered patch that I received in my Freckled Fawn kit. I don’t use embroidered patches so this was a great opportunity to try and come up with something to use it on. Eventually, I decided to use the patch on a handmade greeting card.

I made this card with some patterned paper from my stash and a chipboard sticker. I also used two different Freckled Fawn kits. I used the Wanderlust and the January 2017 kit. This card was very simple to make. Adhering the embroidered patch was simple because it did have a sticker backing on it, but you could also use a glue runner or foam dots as well.

I plan to make some more projects using items that are not normally used for scrapbooking or card making. I really enjoyed this challenge and can’t wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

Thanks so much Emily!
