Today Nerd Nest Challenges Creative Team member Lisa is here to share her take on November’s Nerd Nest Challenge, Try on a Different Style.

I love autumn and was eager to try my hands on a travelers notebook style. So I made an insert myself and started collecting fall stories in it. I hadn´t used this type of scrapbooking before this summer. I am not very worried that my photos and layouts are un-protected, but I guess I had just gotten used to my pocket pages and regular scrapbooking layouts. I am happy to try new things and I have really enjoyed this format.

I have used stories like my favorite things about autumn and fun things we do. But I have also been using a few prompts like the Hashtag this week challenge by Mandy Elliot. Since this project was a seasonal one I wanted to use fun products that are autumn kits. I have used almost all digital products that I have printed out.

Quotes are one of my favorite things to add to memory keeping projects so it´s no suprise there are a few in there.

What I have struggled a bit with is the bleeding through to the next page if I´ve used ink, but I have solved that by using a new background paper and glued it in. I have also been concious about not using too bulky embellishments in my TN since it tends to be hard to close when it is being filled.

I know have several pages left after working in both October and November. The remaining pages will be used for my gratitude project I do every November.

If you are interested in making and using a travelers notebook style of memory keeping I can recommend watching my friend Diane´s youtube channel where she posts several videos a week.

love & peace
