This week, #nndailytip posts will be all about documenting your goals! Just free writing what you want out of the next year can be helpful. Having it all laid out can aide you in going through and prioritizing what you really want to work on. And, even if you decide not to pursue some of the things you write down, the list itself will tell you something about who you were in that moment.
Your pocket album is a great way to document the progress of your goals. If you are working on a long term project or trying to build a habit, including bits of how you are doing with your everyday photos gives an interesting glimpse into how you tackle your goals and the impact they have on your life. I include most of my #megandoes52projects in my pocket album, which shows goal progress itself, but I also show steps on bigger projects as I work on them. On bottom here, I documented beginning to redo a room in August 2014. On top is the finished room in March 2015! I included little bits in between too. #nndailytip
Document goals for a specific area of your life. I made this Blog Goals list for #30lists in 2014 and still havn't crossed one of the items off of the list. In addition to an awesome record of what I was thinking at the time, seeing it now helps motivate me–if I don't make blog redesign a serious priority, it is never going to happen. #nndailytip
If you need help documenting your goals or want to focus on any kind of self improvement this year, I highly recommend @aliedwardsdesigninc's One Little Word workshop. I would not document my goals (or achieve them) nearly as often without the monthly check-in the workshop lessons provide. #nndailytip
This photo is by my friend @amyteegan She is doing an amazing RESET challenge right now–all about helping you figure out and document your goals for the year. I'm getting started on the prompts this evening! If you want to reach your goals, having a kick ass guide is the way to do it. Amy knows how to get you thinking and push you into action, which is one of the many reasons I love her. #nndailytip The digi Kit from @allie_scraps for the project is awesome too! (Not a sponsored post. My friends are just that awesome.)
