One of the best parts of our recent vacation to Denver to see our friend Jessica was a visit to the Denver Art Museum. The kids love going to our local museum, so we knew they’d have a blast at the DAM. Just how much they’d love it we didn’t really anticipate, because the Denver Art Museum has got to be the most kid friendly fine art museum ever. In addition to having some really amazing art and fantastic architecture, they also had scores of child focused centers for learning and creating. This allowed the kids to immerse themselves in art and gave us a much needed place to sit while they moved–switching off carrying / herding Jonas was exhausting.
We spent about four hours at the museum, but barely even made a dent in viewing the collections. We’ll have to soak up the rest next time we go back, for sure.
