Week 41: October 7-13

Usually, I move roughly chronologically through the week in spreads, but this time around I laid things out more based on design / room for stories. So I have some mid-week stuff on here, then move to a Sunday date, then move back to during the week stuff in the insert. Make it work for you, switch up your routine if it isn’t working.
I did a little bit of stash busting with Amy Tangerine leaves I’ve been hoarding (because they are SO PRETTY). I used them to add a little bit to the flair I used on the page (the yellow flair is from Kelly Purkey and the heart flair is older American Crafts). To get the two leaves behind the card, I used an x acto knife and ruler to cut around the corner of the page protector, and adhered the leaves to the back of the card. I like breaking up the lines of the pockets a bit sometimes.
Insert, Front: Ava + Jonas, Jonas at the park, and a simple journaling card.
Not everything needs to be fancy.
Insert, Back: Eliza’s soccer game.
Also, when the colors in a photo aren’t salvageable because the lighting is bad, going black and white is always a safe bet.
I just ordered a bazillion photos from Persnickety prints, so there’s a lot more where this came from.
