Week 42: October 14-20

I liked the pictures we took at the Red Barn Farm last weekend so much that I decided to skip ahead, print photos at home, and go with documenting the present. (My method lately has been to document several weeks “behind” so I can order big batches of photos all at once.)
Instead of going with my usual method of documenting a lot of everyday stuff and making a million inserts to document photo heavy events, I edited down and focused mostly on the farm photos, with just a little bit of the everyday stuff slipped in at the end.
Left Side: Family photos and pickin’ pumpkins!
You can learn how to make this pumpkin felt embellishment, along with templates for a skull and acorn embellishment, in this tutorial.
Insert, Front: Eliza’s first pony ride!
Insert, Back: Jonas’s first pony ride!
Left Side: Most of the spread is the last of the farm photos, but the bottom two 4×6 spots are reserved for the everyday stuff with Instagrams and a lot of journaling.
I connected two 4×6 cards with washi tape so that I could flip up the card for lots of journaling! Which is good, because a lot of stuff happened last week: Jonas locked me out of the house (that’s a whole big long story), we went to a rooftop barbecue with Jake’s office team, we got Google Fiber (w00t!), the kids dressed up for Boo Bayou at Eliza’s school, and Eliza finished a cute ghost project from Kiwi Crate.
These photos got me excited; what makes you excited to work on a spread?
