I know that baseball season ended Monday and you American sports fans brains have moved on to football, but I had to share some cool photos I took at a Royals game a few weeks ago! I went to a game with my office team, which is pretty cool, but we carpooled and, well, baseball is a long game. A very long game for a nerd not particularly interested in watching sports (though I like playing them). Good thing my camera was with me. I had fun capturing the field from different angles by walking around the top of the stadium and taking a photo every three steps or so. Here’s the result:
Life is always entertaining when there are photography skills to develop. (It’s not just me, by the way. Megan has been known to read during live sports games. And the last time we went to a baseball game together, she had to walk all the way back to the car because they wouldn’t let her take her knitting needles in. Hah!)
On a semi-related note, I’m really excited to get started on holiday gifts with Megan. We’re super procrastinators, so it’s our goal to have some of our holiday gifts done NOW. And there are almost always a few that involve photography (shocker, I know).
We’re really into the 2013 Blurb Gift Guide and the ideas are spinning. We’re thinking about making a kid’s book just for our kids and a coffee table book of my nature photography for my step-mom to start! We also have a few other Blurb books in the works, including a little book on our weekly farmer’s market hauls this year. Here’s to getting stuff done early! There’s nothing more motivating than a sale, am I right?
