Wahoo! This week was my birthday week. And it was all about circles and dots. Why? Who knows?!? But it’s fun. Maybe I was subconsciously throwing myself a product party.

Left Side: All birthday stuff: launching Bald for Breasts, cute self-portrait of Jake and I, swimsuit shopping, the people who I hung out with on my birthday, and a photo from birthday dinner at d’Bronx.

Insert 1: 26 things about my 26th birthday! This page was inspired by Ali Edwards’s Hello Story at Big Picture Classes. (It may be my favorite class ever.) It was a really fun way to write down the random things that happened and really painted an interesting picture of the day. This is an exercise I’ll come back to again.

To make the page, I drew numbers freehand on white cardstock, cut them out with a utility knife slightly outside of the lines, and adhered the pieces to a piece of Dear Lizzy Lucky Lady Bug Transparency. Then I just listed out stuff about my birthday!

I ran out of room, so I added a bit extra on the back.

Insert 2, Front: I made this insert for Lesson 2 of Find Your Voice. It’s an “all about me” exercise. For stuff like this, I don’t care if it makes it in the week I made it, I care more about where it “fits” in the album. I had something for this week to put on the back and it worked well with the color scheme for the week, so it went in here.

Insert 2, Back: I included my version of the July prompt for One Little Word. I used Project Life fold cards to get in a bit about what I did with my word FINISH in July.

Right Side: The everyday stuff from the week. My kids and Ava were all cute together, Eliza went down to Table Rock Lake a few days before us with Jake’s parents, we went to see Indiana Jones in the park and almost lost Jonas (worst experience ever), Jake traded in some metal junk he found on the side of the road for cash, boxer Cam F. Awesome donated shirts for us to sell for Bald for Breasts, and we stopped to smell the flowers.

I’m loving Midnight and Seafoam together more and more.

Do you ever pull together your spreads by repeating shapes?

Project Life Lessons is going great so far! Here are a few things folks are saying about the workshop on the message boards as we’re working on “photos” week:

“If you haven’t clicked on the “resources” button yet … you really should, because the Resources page for this class is amazing! There’s so much great info there that it’s almost a class in itself.”

“Thanks for all the info you share and for being so accessible to us. Totally enjoying and learning from this class. It rocks!”

“Oh. My. Goodness.

These three lessons have come together to help me figure out why I flounder so with photography! [...] THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!”

“I love it! Got a ton of great ideas for photos. Picked up my camera more today than all week! Thanks!”

Heads up: Registration closes tomorrow, September 11, at 10:00pm PST!
