We’re going on vacation at the end of the month, and we want to keep things awesome around here while we’re gone. We’ll be scheduling a few posts of our own during the time we’re busy, but we thought it would be a great opportunity to hear from some awesome folks!
Guest posting is an amazing way to reach a wider audience, build relationships with other bloggers, and open up amazing unforeseeable opportunities! If you have an idea for a post you think readers on the Nerd Nest would like (i.e. anything about craftiness, nerdiness, or family), send us a pitch this week! We’d love to have you over.
Don’t know what to write about? We’re always looking for folks to Spread the Nerd!
Contact Us with your ideas! Don’t worry if you’ve never done a guest post before, now is an excellent time to start.
Please send pitches by
July 13 July 15 (a little extra time for you busy folks!). Finished posts will need to be turned in by July 24. The guest post party extravaganza will be from July 27 to August 7. If you can’t make those dates, you can’t be part of the party, but send us a pitch anyway and we may include your post at a later date!
Want to learn more about guest posting? I highly highly recommend Connect: A Simple Template to Get the Most Out of Guest Posting by Amy of Lemon and Raspberry. I leaned on that resource so much when I started guest posting and it really helped me turn my guest posts into amazing opportunities to gain the curage to pitch guest posts, spread the word about Nerd Nest and gain more followers.
To learn even more about guest posting as well as every other aspect of blogging you can think of, sign up for free blogging tips in the BUILD ecourse newsletter and get 50% off the BUILD ecourse pre-sale automatically until 8:00 PM PT tonight, July 8! Hurry, because the course is full price for everyone tomorrow! Included in the ecourse is a 58 minute interview with me about guest posting. Check out a preview of that here.
I have to tell you that I’ve had a chance to poke around BUILD and I am blown away. I’ve watched all of the interviews and have only read through about 1/4 of the course over the weekend, and you guys know how much I read. That’s how much content there is. I’ve already got tons of ideas for improving things around here!
I’m an L&R affiliate because I love Amy and I love contributing to her awesome projects.
If you take advantage of these awesome resources, make sure to use what you’ve learned to send us a guest post pitch!
