Sunday | Chipotle
Monday | Soft tacos
Tuesday | Chicken Strips, Mac & Cheese, & Veggies
Wednesday | Chili
Thursday | Eggplant Parmesan
Friday | Pizzas made with this dough recipe and Hclappy’s sauce recipe

Other | Chili Dogs, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies, Pumpkin Dip with Honeycrisp Apples

The Reality

Saturday | Pizzas made with this dough recipe and Hclappy’s sauce recipe
Sunday | Chipotle
Monday | Soft tacos
Tuesday | Chicken Strips, Mac & Cheese, & Veggies
Wednesday | Chili
Thursday | Breakfast burritos for Jake and the Kids, Chubby’s for me
Friday | Pizzas made with this dough recipe and Hclappy’s sauce recipe

Other | Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

I’m skipping Saturday, because I talked about it last week (we switched the menu days around).

Chipotle

Sunday we still hadn’t made it to the grocery store yet, so Jake grabbed Chipotle burritos for us on the way home from work.

Monday we whipped up some simple soft tacos.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Monday we also made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. They were really good, but they had a different texture than I expected. They were really fluffy, but had an almost bread-like texture. I like chewy cookies, so I’ll have to try to alter it a bit. I think I’ll swap out one of the cups of white sugar for brown sugar, for starters.

Mac & Cheese with Fish Sticks

Tuesday we picked something pre-made, because we were trying to fix dinner quickly after grocery shopping in the evening. We had Trader Joe’s frozen mac & cheese (which we’re a little obsessed with right now), and fish sticks (Jake had chicken strips instead). We’d eat this every night if Eliza had her way.

Mom's Chili

Wednesday we had chili.

Date #2.

Thursday I went to a Dropkick Murphy’s show with my friend Harvey, so Jake and the kids had breakfast burritos and Harvey and I went to Chubby’s after the concert was over. Their breaded chicken sandwich is so delicious.

Homemade Pizza

Friday our friends Tiffany and Burt came over, and we made pizzas. We made them with this dough recipe and Hclappy’s sauce recipe. We swap a cup of the white flour for the dough and leave out the mushrooms in the sauce. These pizzas are becoming a weekly staple.

Tiffany's Amaretto Cake

Tiffany brought an awesome amaretto cake. It was super rich, we could only eat teeny tiny wedges.

Here’s what this week will sort of look like:

The Plan

Saturday | Eggplant Parmesan
Sunday | Blueberry Pancakes
Monday | Tortilla Soup
Tuesday | Pizzas made with this dough recipe and Hclappy’s sauce recipe
Wednesday | Chicken Tikka Masala
Thursday | Thanksgiving Part I (I’m making the cranberry sauce, brussels sprouts, green bean casserole, and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies)
Friday | Thanksgiving Part II

Other | Pumpkin Dip with Honeycrisp Apples, Baked Oatmeal Casserole
