October Project Challenge

At the beginning of every month, we post a challenge for ourselves and you! At the end of the month, in theory, we’ll post our completed projects (Jake and I are both doing one) and will have a link-up for you to share yours! The projects can be interpreted in any way you want. Interpret our challenge to do a project in crafts, photography, creative writing, home decor, technical gadgetry, cooking, or whatever you can come up with.

Nerd Nest Monthly Project Challenge

The October challenge was to make something seasonal. And man, did we roll with that theme this month. Here were all the seasonal projects that happened in the Nest this month:

Cotton Ball / Swab Skeletons

Eliza made cotton swab / cotton ball skeletons.

Painting Halloween Signs

The kids both painted Halloween signs.

Halloween Headband Tutorial

We shared a Halloween headband / broach tutorial.

Butternut Squash Soup

We made a lot of seasonal food. We tried making butternut squash soup (which was not that great). We made a bunch of stuff from roasted pumpkin, like pumpkin bread and pumpkin chocolate muffins.

Halloween 2010

I finally got around to documenting Halloween 2010.

Hermione, Dobby, and a Park Ranger

And, the big one, my mom and I made the kids’ Halloween costumes.
