Recently Amy of Lemon and Raspberry offered a special promotion for a free Instagram photo book from Blurb. I knew I wanted to take advantage of the offer, because I want to experiment more with digital scrapbooking. And getting collections of digital pages printed off as books at places like Blurb is FAR more cost effective than printing off a ton of pages individually.
I was excited to get to do a Blurb test run before I print something bigger, like my 31 Things mini album. Thanks so much Amy for the push to give it a try!
I didn’t have 60 Instagram photos I wanted to print (I’ve got most of the ones I love covered in my Project Life), but I discovered that you can add photos from Flickr and crop them to the square format for the 7×7 Instagram photo book instead! I decided to make a book full of some of our favorite Kansas City photos to put out as a sort of home-grown coffee table book.
Here are some of my favorite pages from the book:
I really love this little book. Our city’s architecture is one of my favorite things, so just flipping through makes me happy. I haven’t decided where we’re going to display this permanently, but it’s hanging out on our black & white bookshelf for now (along with the Song of Ice and Fire books that don’t have a home in our house yet).
I loved this books so much that we’re now Blurb affiliates! Any purchases at Blurb you make through these links supports the Nerd Nest. Save 15% On Your Entire Blurb.com Order with Code 15OFFBLURB! Offer valid through November 1.
And hey! Amy’s books are way cool and she’s made TONS of Blurb books. Check out some of my favorite of Amy’s books:
Have you used Blurb? What did you think? I’d like to know about how your books from Shutterfly or Persnickety and the like came out as well!
