At the beginning of every month, we post a challenge for ourselves and you! At the end of the month, in theory, we’ll post our completed projects (Jake and I are both doing one) and will have a link-up for you to share yours! The projects can be interpreted in any way you want. Interpret our challenge to do a project in crafts, photography, creative writing, home decor, technical gadgetry, cooking, or whatever you can come up with.
This month, the challenge is to GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY!!! Interpret it any way you want: finger paint, plant something in the dirt, make homemade bread and kneed with your hands, change out parts in your car, put a new chain on your bike, clean out your fish tank, stamp, arrange a mud fight, or dye fabric! There’s no limit but your imagination. Just take a day or two this month to get in there hands on.
We’re leaving this challenge open ended for ourselves this month. We’re mostly going to see where the days take us. Some ideas that we might be working with: do a hand painting project with Jonas and Eliza, plant shrubs / bushes in our front yard (Autumn is the best time for this!), try fabric overdying, and bake lots of homemade bread. We might only get to one of those things, we might do ’em all, we might come up with something completely different… but there’s no question that some nerdy hands are going to be getting very dirty this September.
How will you interpret this challenge?
Check out our other monthly challenges and results here. They are meant to inspire, so you can do them any time–not just in the month we post them!
