Eliza went back to school on Tuesday. We officially have a first grader! I was sad to see her go back (we had a LOT of fun during the short time between summer school and back-to-school), but I could tell she was missing her friends and getting to speak French everyday. She was excited to go back and to get to test out her new school building.
Last Thursday was back-to-school night, so we got to see Eliza’s classroom and meet Eliza’s teacher. He seems really cool. He was born in Italy and grew up in Luxembourg. She’s had teachers from the Middle East, France, Belgium, Africa, the Caribbean, and the US so far between her regular teachers, special subject teachers, the interns, and her summer school teachers. And she just started the first grade! Most adults I know haven’t even MET people from that many different places around the world.
Eliza’s school is awesome.
I’m excited to watch her learn and grow this year!
