At the beginning of every month, we post a challenge for ourselves and you! At the end of the month, in theory, we’ll post our completed projects (Jake and I are both doing one) and will have a link-up for you to share yours! The projects can be interpreted in any way you want. Interpret our challenge to do a project in crafts, photography, creative writing, home decor, technical gadgetry, cooking, or whatever you can come up with.
June’s challenge is to use up the supplies you’ve been hoarding! If you have a stash of stuff you love but are afraid to use it up: cut it out! Go for it! That’s why it’s there, after all. Cut into that pretty paper. Use those photos you’ve been saving. Sew the fabric. Break in the tools. If you don’t have literal supplies waiting to be used, then use up your hoarded ideas, thoughts, words, or even your rainy day cash stash.
For this challenge, we’re going to break into our vintage sheet collection. Expect at least three (maybe even four!) projects using these in the coming weeks.
We’re also breaking out the saffron. Someone bought us saffron as a gift, and we’re intimidated by it because it is the most expensive of spices. But we’ve got it, so we need to use it! Even if we ruin the food, it’s better than just leaving it sitting in the cabinet. We’re going to try to work it into a few dishes this month. Side note: I love love love the bottle the saffron is in.
What have you been hoarding?
Check out our other monthly challenges and results here. They’re meant to inspire, so you can do them any time–not just in the month we post them!
