Week 18 and I’m going to have to accept that there will be three albums of Project Life this year. I’m still working on my Week in the Life album, and when that’s done I’ll be working on making a few more layouts to go in here and will be calling Volume 1 good. So much for my insert diet.
*The photos this week aren’t great. I’m using American Crafts page protectors this week, and they are weirdly wavy and reflect light. If you’re going the non-Becky Higgins brand route, I highly highly recommend We R Memory Keepers over Am Crafts. But I have the Am Crafts protectors, so I’m rolling with them until they are gone.
I felt like we never picked up the camera this week, but when I uploaded our photos to browse and edit, I ended up with about the average amount of weekly photos. We must have just felt like we weren’t snapping much after snapping EVERYTHING for Week in the Life. If felt weird to not take a picture of everything we did for the first few days.
I forced myself to not use every photo I love this week, so cut the photo number down much lower than usual, to 17 (but I saved some for two traditional layouts, so it doesn’t really count).
The left side is a bunch of glorious everyday photos. My favorite kind.
I was super excited to get to use my new Today Is stamp from Elise Joy Makes Stamps (it’s a pop-up shop, so you’d better hurry!). My K & Company date stamp wasn’t working with me though, so I made a few extra messy stamps. Hopefully it looks like that was all on purpose. The dates are the start and the end of the week.
Jonas with the rake and Jonas peaking his head around the banister. It was rainy some here last week, but mostly was beautiful, so we spend a lot of time playing in the backyard and taking walks. We also braved up and took down the baby gates on the stairs last week, so Jonas is enjoying his freedom in the bottom photo. It hasn’t made him too crazy, though. He likes to be in the same room as the rest of the nest.
This was Jake’s favorite picture this week, so I made sure to make it big. Jonas has been taking his diaper off (which is getting a page all by itself), so there have been a lot of overalls around here. Jonas has also loved carrying stuffed animals around lately.
A little photo collage. The journaling gives a little caption to each photo: 1. Eliza <3s lipstick 2. Jake is a bully 3. Focus, mama 4. Jonas's concerto
My best friend Harvey and his wife Lisa popped in on Friday night! Jake took this portrait of Harvey; it’s very him. He plays A LOT of sports, so looking hard is important. He’s the biggest goof, though.
Harvey and Lisa, Harvey entertaining Jonas. Eliza’s always called Harvey “Uncle Harvey”, but after his promotion with Jonas, Harvey is now insisting that we call him “The Godfather”.
The right page is bright and fun. There are a lot of Sassafras products on there; I’m really sad that they’re not up and running anymore.
Up top is a trip to Science City. We go often, as we won a membership last year, but this weekend was my first time taking both kids without Jake (he needed some quiet so he could work). Jonas’s favorite part was the boat racing (he loves playing in water right now) and Eliza was really into the view of the city skyline and digging up dino bones this time.
Self-portriat with a bit of week overview journaling: This week was lovely and we spent a lot of time outside. Sunday we had a kid b-day party, E grew a whole size in a week, and the kids and I went to Science City Saturday while Jake worked.
Jake, taking apart my broken laptop. He can seriously do anything related to computers, which is completely mind boggling to me. Jonas spilled coffee on it awhile ago. Boo.
Jonas with Broyee! (his word for Brobee, the Yo Gabba Gabba character), and Eliza at the park with her stuffed cats Moxy and Diamond. Jake walked with the kids to the park while I fixed dinner one night last week because I was having one of those days where I really really needed some quiet.
Eliza with her magnifying glass, making scientific discoveries in the backyard.
What did you do last week?
