30 Days of Lists Book
This month I signed up for 30 Days of Lists. It started at the beginning of March…but it was an impulse buy (only $8!!!) and I wasn’t prepared. And didn’t have time. So now, on day #23 of 30, I’m revving up. And that’s totally fine. I’m looking at 30 days as a way to capture who I am right now, and I’m grateful to be able to have a project that is me focused instead of family focused. I used to journal every night, but now I rarely step back to document what’s going on with me as an individual. Mostly because I’m a scrapbooker and I’m not in love with getting my photo taken. Sans scrapbooking journaling doesn’t feel right anymore, because journaling was a way for me to get a handle on my emotions. Since life is mostly sunny around here, I don’t need that outlet anymore. So I’ll reserve the composition books for my fiction and will jump into this project, which feels like a nice cross between scrapbooking and personal journaling.

To make the cover, I rescued my never-used 2011 Autumn Mini and switched up the title a bit. I intended to use the mini books to document our whole year last year, but there was too much stuff for them to contain. I decided to do reverse Project Life (which I have not started yet) for 2011, so I knew that this mini would start collecting dust. I’v found when a project is not working for you, salvage and move on.

30 Days of Lists Book
This morning I whipped up a title page to put in the book. I’ll go back and put the dates the journal covers on the title page when I’m done.

30 Days of Lists Cover Page
Instead of starting at the beginning, I decided to start with List #23 (today’s list), work up to day #30, then start back again at #1. I love that it doesn’t really matter which order you complete the lists in.

List #23
Today’s prompt was “confessions”. Don’t read the list if you think I’m perfect and don’t want your image shattered.

List #23
I love how quick and simple this was and am looking forward to making more lists!

How do you document personal stuff?
