Last night was the January MOC DIY Arts and Crafts Bazaar. It was a breath of fresh air compared to our first disaster craft show. The night was mostly like a big party with our artsy friends (and a few new friends too), where we happened to sell a few things. Awesome atmosphere. We can’t wait to do more stuff with MOC; we’re thinking workshops next. Yes!
That’s our friend Jack (check out his art at his 505 page). He’s pretty much amazing. MOC is partially his brain child.
Somehow we didn’t end up with any shots of our table as a whole, but Jake loves his close ups. So here’s some Nerd Nest goodies:
Seeing what the other artists came up with was awesome.
Nico brought it with his handmade puppets and jewelry:
I don’t know how we didn’t end up with any photos of Amy Bug‘s work, so we stole a few photos from her facebook. Jonas needs some of her baby shirts.
Matthew Naquin‘s poster designs were breath taking. Jake and I were debating over which one to get (someone bought the one he liked best, so I won). The highlight of our night was pretty much getting to trade for this poster.
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support us! It was awesome getting to hang out with friends and family all night. (Also thanks to my sister Taylor, who watched the kids last night with her friend Walter.)
(That’s our besties Harvey and Lisa).
We also wanted to share some photos of us getting ready for the show. We intended to post them yesterday, but ran out of time.
We’re taking a break today (sort of – Jake’s working some from home, E had Spanish class this morning, and we have a birthday party to go to for one of E’s classmates), but we’ll be photographing and listing some of the new handmade products in the shop tomorrow.
