Today we bought out two rooms of records at our favorite local record store, Zebedee’s. Seriously.

This is what 4,000 records looks like.

Poppy held down the fort and let us borrow his truck so we could cram around 4,000 records into the back.

Victory!

All of the records (except for maybe 3 boxes) were on the second floor of the shop, so we carried all of them to the truck all by our lonesome (the owner helped when he could). The moral of this story? Jake and I are chock-full of awesomesauce.

Victory!

Jake looks so much prettier after all that work than I do.

Owner of Zebedee's Record Shop

This is the owner, my new very favorite human being.

This is what 4,000 records looks like.

And this is what all those records look like in our house. We haven’t exactly figured out where we’re putting them yet. We’re going to build some sort of organizational something, but that will be a month or so at least. This is what it will look like ’till then. Classy, right? Apartment Therapy, here we come.

This is what 4,000 records looks like.

Buying all of these is part of our business plan for 2012. We’re hoping to sell enough of our record bookends next year to go through all of these. We’re signing up for tons of craft fairs in addition to selling them on Etsy, so we feel this is an attainable goal. And if they last longer than that, no big deal. We’ll go through them eventually.
