It has been insane around here (We thought the shop would slow down after Cyber Monday. Man, were we wrong!), so our past three ornaments have been of the store bought kit variety.
Eliza actually made this one on Day 4; she ended up falling asleep on the couch after we came home from a birthday party early Saturday night. So we made this first thing Sunday morning.
Eliza just colored the wood ornament with markers and she cut out a little photo of her face. She’s a fairy princess (The wooden ornament is from Joann Fabrics and Craft Store)
I love that E’s in her coat and her pajamas in this photo.
The next two days (Saturday and Monday), E made a Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus from a kit we got in the holiday section at Target. We bought some of these kits last year and love the results, so we bought a few packs again this year for days that were short on ornament making time.
The ornaments are really easy to put together, Eliza can do them all by herself (except for the tying the string part). The kits come with tons of self adhesive foam pieces. She just has to pop the pieces out and stick them on using the pictures on the package as a guide.
Ahh! These projects are killing me with cuteness, seriously. I can’t wait until we have time to create more ornaments from scratch.
Check out our other ornament a day posts here.
