Happy Holiday Magnets

Here at the Nerd Nest we’re teaming up with Allie from Alexandra Rae Designs to bring you 12 Days of Christmas (Projects)! It’s our goal to create 12 projects each for Christmas decor, gifts, and memory keeping by the 25th. That means you’ll get 24 DIY tutorials this month! Wohoo!

Today’s project is super quick and easy, but is epically cute. And practical. All good things.

12 Days Of Christmas (Projects)

We wanted to create a cute little display for our holiday cards this year, but our magnets are boring. There’s a cure for that: hot glue gun.

Supplies: earth magnets, decorative brads (or buttons), hot glue gun

Bend back the prongs of the brads. Some brads have super long prongs, so snip them off if this is the case.

Apply hot glue and put the brads on there quickly. (You can skip this step if you want a less permanent decoration: the brads will stick to the magnets because of the metal prongs.)

Voila! I told you it was easy.

We stuck ours onto a holiday tray, but you can use them on your fridge too. (Love the magnetic tray? Get one here.)

Our holiday cards are now a fancy addition to our crowded mantle.
