Eliza's Reads: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

In addition to the tons and tons of children’s picture books we read to Eliza and the few books she reads out loud to us weekly, we read chapter books aloud to her. Eliza is very proud to have Eliza’s Reads on the blog alongside my reads posts, and she’d like to share what she thought of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with you:

Me: What was your favorite part of the book?

Eliza: Um… I liked the letter from Sirus Black to Harry and the small owl because he’s so cute. I also really liked the part with the boggart. It was really funny when Neville’s boggart, that looked like Snape, you know, got put into Nevlle’s grandma’s clothes. They were girl clothes! That was so funny. But it wasn’t scary at all. The scary part was when Sirus cut the Fat Lady’s picture to get into Gryfondor tower. That was so scary!

Me: Who was your favorite character?

Eliza: My favorite characters are Harry Potter and Hermione and Ron.

Me: Why do you like them?

Eliza: They are all so brave. And they’re nice. And they are just so awesome.

Me: If you could do anything that was done in the book, what would you do?

Eliza: If I could do anything from the book, I would have a Time Turner like Hermione.

(Eliza told us the night before that if she had a Time Turner, she’d go back in time and prevent Dr. Martin Luther King from getting assassinated and then would help with the civil rights movement. A girl after my own heart.)

Eliza's Reads: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

She chose to read The Amazing Spider-Man next and is finishing up Diary of a Wimpy Kid, which Jake is reading with her. Then we’ll move on to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire . So there probably won’t be another Harry post until February (lol).
