Eliza's Traffic Jam

I am appreciating the little things, like Eliza using our business cards as a road for her Matchbox traffic jam.

I am exhausted from working the night shift at my new job. Right now I am working 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday-Friday. Jonas is still on his same schedule, so that means I’m sleeping from 3:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., waking up to nurse Jonas, play with him a bit, feed him bananas, see Eliza and Jake off, put Jonas down for a nap at 8:00 a.m., and then sleep through Jonas’s nap until about 10:30 a.m. And today was a double baby day. Man am I tired.

I am reminding myself that this time next year, I’ll be in grad school.

I am missing Jessica. She flew back to Denver yesterday.

I am wondering how on earth the house is going to be clean on time for the Zombie Apocalypse Party (Jake & his brother Nick have the same birthday – October 29 – and we’re having a Halloweenish party to celebrate).

I am so excited that Jonas started standing today! He’s done it before without realizing it, but now he’s doing it on purpose. For a long time. Looks like someone will be walking in no time!

I am anxious to get to do a craft project sometime this week.

I am feeling pretty fancy kitchen-wise. I’ve made some awesome new healthy things the past two weeks.

I am outgrowing my iPhoto library.

I am feeling behind on everything.

I am thinking that 50/50 might be my new favorite movie. It’s the first movie ever that has made me laugh out loud and cry multiple times.

I am proud of Jake for doing some pretty cool outside-his-job-discription inventive projects at work right now.

I am thinking that what I really should be doing right now is mopping the kitchen.

I am proud of Eliza at how fast she’s picking up this whole reading thing.

I am excited that one of our best friends (Matt) is moving into our neighborhood soon.

I am super excited about a secret that another of our best friends told us last week (bursting excited – I can’t wait to tell!!)

But mostly I am tired.
