I forgot to post about this… I meant to tell you all about Murray’s Homemade Ice Cream back in April when we took these photos, but I forgot all about it. Today’s a scorcher here in Kansas City and I want some ice cream bad. So I thought, hey, if I can’t have it I might as well blog about it. Next best thing.

At Murray's Homemade Ice Creams

Murray’s is located just down the street from us at 4120 Pennsylvania. It’s a great place for us to take a stroll. The shop is super kid friendly and a great place for a cute date!

They make their very own ice cream; the flavors change out all of the time! This results in the best ice cream I’ve ever had; it’s even better than Ben & Jerry’s (which I also love). Their soda jerks also make their own waffle cones. You can also get coffee drinks or load up your ice cream with yummy toppings.

Jake, Jonas, and I (Eliza was at her grandparents’) went on a hot date here on our freak weather day in April (98 degrees!).  We feel right at home in the vintage atmosphere. It feels like an old ice cream shop; but with tons of toys and action figures! Perfect.

Jonas also had his first taste of grown up food back in April- we gave him a teeny tiny taste of ice cream. He made “mmmmnnn” noises and then licked his lips for an hour.

P.S. It’s cash only.

P.P.S. We talked about this a little bit in this 365 post.

What’s your favorite place to go on a hot day!
