Why hello blogging world. We’re finally getting caught up on of our school things, so shared amazing craftiness should only be a few days away. We have a stash of new lovely things for the shop as well, which will be photographed as soon as we have a day without snow or rain. KC’s been very wet this week.
For now, I thought I’d share a few scrapbooking pages with you, since I haven’t shared any in a while. I think scrapbooking is the perfect hobby for me, since Jake is so into photography. It’s one of the few hobbies that I have that is all mine, but it’s neat that Jake still has a hand in it.
This one is from our Thanksgiving photo shoot. I like holiday pages that aren’t overly themey; I can display this one all year round if I want to. I also don’t worry about the fact that I’m just now scrapping Thanksgiving in February. I don’t try to do things chronologically, I find that I make better pages if I stick with what’s inspiring me at the moment.
I’m going to be doing some more scrapping this week and may do a few more scrapping themed posts. Some of you may not know that I used to work at a scrapbooking store. I also taught classes. So if you have any questions about the craft, now would be a good time to ask!
Now for the MUSIC! We decided not to go with a theme this week. Instead we’re just giving you a taste of what we’ve been listening to. We finally have our record player set up so that it’s loud enough to hear in every room in the loft, so we’ve been wearing out our new Manchester Orchestra record.
We are huge vinyl collectors; there’s just something about them. We especially love that it’s easier to fall in love with an album if it’s a pain to change the songs. With CD’s or our ipods, we’re more likely to skip around. Records really make you LISTEN to an entire album. It’s easier to fall in true love with bands that way, we think. (Be watching out for a new record player tattoo in the next few weeks… I’m making an appointment with my artist tomorrow!) Maybe we’ll do a Music Monday with only songs we own on vinyl? That would be fun.
How’d you like the playslist this week? What are you listening to right now? Oh, and don’t forget to enter our giveaway below!
